Draw a labelled circuit diagram, with component values of the finished circuit.
A trained engineer should be able to use your diagram to recreate the project.

Label all the components to make it easier to write about the circuit. Examples ...

R1 and R2 make a voltage divider.
LED1 is needed to drop the chip output voltage by about 2V.
R5 is a pull down resistor.
C1 charges through R6 and R7 until the voltage rises to 8V.
C1 discharges through R7 until the voltage drops to 4V.
D1 is a polarity protection diode
C2 is a decoupling capacitor.
